Black Nurse Practitioners of Palm Beach County

Our lives matter!!

Posted about 5 years ago by Dr. Judy-Ann S. Wellington

The members of BNPPBC would like to address the current state of our world. We have already started to combat the effects of Coronavirus and now it’s time we attack an even scarier pandemic: Racism. As a predominantly black organization, this issue is something that we identify with on all levels. Personally and professionally we stand against any attempts to discriminate against black people and devalue their lives. This post is not only to show our support but to raise awareness for everything that is happening.

We have had a fair share of experiences in our field that stem from racism and the disregard for African Americans. One of our missions is to shed light on the importance of black nurse practitioners and other medical professionals, as we are not only failed by the justice system but also by the healthcare system. We will continue to work hard within our area of expertise AND socially advocate as much as we can in order to play our role in the fight for justice. Below is a link that takes you to different options on how YOU can play your role in all of this. https://blacklivesmatters.carrd.co/
