Committee are forming and we need you

BNPPBC is excited to announce we have begun the process of linking our organizational structure with 5 standing committees.  Below is a description and goals of each committee.  If you are interested in volunteering please be present at the January 17 meeting with your ideas, input and suggestions.   We believe in the mission of the BPCBNP and we need you to link with us for the future of our organization.

Mentor committee is designed to match the experienced nurse practitioner with new graduates and students. 

Chaired by the President and an appointed member at large

  • Develop activities to assist the new NP with professional development and career placement
  • Develop activities to assist the student to successfully transition through graduate school
  • Develop incentives to the NP to serve as a mentor
  • Pairs the NP with a student NP and new graduates.

 

Conference committee is designed to plan and execute every aspect of the annual conference.  The annual conference is poised to be the largest fundraiser for the organization

Chaired by the Vice president and member at large

  • Plan and execute annual conference
  • Research clinical topics of relevance for the group
  • Assist with site selection, speaker selection
  • Assist with promoting the conference
  • CEU development 

Membership Resource Committee is designed to provide leadership in expanding the membership

Chaired by the secretary and assistant secretary

  • Develops new members and membership initiatives
  • Assist the organization in growing and maintaining membership
  • Identify opportunities for member participation in organizational activities
  • Keep the members active and engaged
    • Welcome messages to new members
    • Birthday wishes to all members

 

Event committee

Chaired by members of the Adbisory Board and appointed members

  • Plan the monthly calendar
  • Plan and implement fundraisers
  • Plan and implement health fairs
  • Plan and implement community events

 Finance committee is designed to maintain a strong financial position that allows the organization to grow without financial constraint.

Overseen by President, Vice president, Treasurer, Assistant treasurer, members of Advisory board and member appointment. 

  • Review, revise and approve yearly budget
  • Identify and assist with implementing revenue streams

All member appointments are granted at the discretion of the President and/or Advisory committee
